Horses: Our majestic miniature horses come in all shapes and sizes, but did you know that horses have been domesticated for over 5,000 years? Horses, large or small, have an amazing sense of memory - they can remember people and places for decades! They also have unique personalities; some are calm and affectionate, while others are spirited and playful. And here’s a fun titbit: a horse’s teeth can reveal its age - just like rings on a tree!
Donkeys: Meet our two charming donkeys - an albino female with striking blue eyes and a spotted white and caramel miniature male. Donkeys are known for their intelligence and strong social bonds. They have a unique vocalization called a "bray" that sounds like a loud, distinct "hee-haw." Donkeys are also incredibly strong; they can carry loads that are up to 20% of their body weight. And guess what? We have a special surprise - our albino donkey recently gave birth to a baby we’ve named “Surprise!” This little bundle of joy is already winning hearts with its adorable antics.
Surprise the Baby Donkey: Our newest addition, Surprise, has quickly become the star of the farmyard. With its soft, fluffy coat and playful antics, Surprise brings joy to everyone who visits. The baby’s first steps and curious exploration of its surroundings make for heartwarming scenes, reminding us of all of the simple joys of life.
Goats: Our goats are the ultimate adventurers of the farmyard. With their playful nature and curiosity, goats are known to climb almost anything - they’ve been spotted scaling fences, rocks, and even trees! Their remarkable ability to balance and their curious, inquisitive nature make them endlessly entertaining. Plus, goats have a great sense of humour and love to show off their agility.
Turkeys: These feathered friends are fascinating creatures with impressive features. Did you know that male turkeys, or toms, puff up their feathers and fan out their tails to attract females during mating season? Their colourful plumage and unique gobbles make them quite the characters. Turkeys also have a strong sense of social structure within their flocks.
Mini Cows: Our mini cows are charmingly small and incredibly friendly. Despite their size, mini cows are full of personality and are known for their gentle and docile nature. They’re often as affectionate as puppies and enjoy being pampered. Mini cows are also very efficient grazers, helping keep our pastures lush and healthy.
