- The sanctuary is open from 9am till 5pm. The last tour departs at 3:45pm (15:45) to join this tour you need to arrive no later than 3:35pm (15:35)
- We are able to accommodate all ages and all group sizes
- Entrance fee to Jukani is a day rate and you can join as many tours as time allows on the day of your visit.
- Children aged 2 or younger are free of charge. We start charging from 3 years of age.
- We offer a pensioner rate to all our South African Pensioners of 10% off our normal rate, please state you are a pensioner on arrival at reception
- At Jukani all the tours are conducted by our safari guides, tours last 60 to 90 minutes and depart every 20 minutes.
- The sanctuary facilities are wheelchair accessible
- There is a curio stores and coffee shop at Jukani.
- Our sanctuaries are strictly no touch (hands off) facilities
- We offer affordable sanctuary memberships (annual) options
- Unless requested otherwise, tours are conducted in English or Afrikaans
- Remember to pack your cameras, Selfie-Sticks and GoPro extenders are not permitted
- Remember to please wear comfortable shoes
- A Hat and sunblock are recommended at Jukani
Monkeyland is located 7km from Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. You can buy a combo ticket to include Monkeyland. This is the worlds first free roaming primate sanctuary hosting over 550 primates. At Monkeyland you go on a 1 hour guided tour into our 12-hectare forest with one of South Africa’s most professionally trained Monkey Safari Guides. The guides will attempt to find as many of the different species and give you ample time to take photos and ask questions. Different languages are available at times so please feel free to ask if we have yours available on arrival, best yet call ahead and book a language guide. Check out Monkeyland for more information.
Birds of Eden is located 7km from Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary (see map) there you can go on a self guided tour, we do recommend 60 to 90 minutes. The sanctuary is home to 220 different species & subspecies of birds totalling over 3500 birds. From the indigenous and beautiful Knysna lourie with its awkward call for such a gracious bird, the other lourie (Turaco) species, parrots, parakeets, waterfowl, flamingos, starlings, robins and graceful cranes. The sanctuary includes a deep gorge with a waterfall and the aviary is approximately 50m high, covering all the treetops and allowing ample flying space for its winged inhabitants. There is a restaurant at each of our sanctuaries. Please note to be able to visit The Twitter cafe located inside Birds of Eden you need to purchase an entry ticket that includes Birds of Eden. All other restaurants are reachable without paying the entrance fee.
